Stitched #1: The First Day of the Rest of her Life

Title: Stitched #1: The First Day of the Rest of her Life

Authors: Mariah McCourt (Story), Aaron Alexovich (Art, Lettering, and Cover)

Genre: Comics

Rating: 5 out of 5 fairies

Synopsis: Crimson Volania Mulch is in pieces, literally, and she just woke up in the weirdest spot: a cemetery! She doesn't know anything but her name and her first few nights "alive" are a spooky whirlwind of ghosts, werewolves, witches, and weirdly beautiful boys. Will she find out where she comes from? Do two-headed badger/hedgehogs eat cupcakes? Does she have time for romance when she doesn't even know who she is? Sometimes you have to fall apart before you can be whole again.

Review: Mix a little paranormal, a pinch of cuteness, a cup of mystery and adventure, and a sprinkling of great friends and will get this adorable story of a little girl all stitched together with no memory of her past. Crimson and her friends will steal your heart and intrigue you, leaving you just as curious about Crimson's past, and what adventures they'll find themselves in the midst of next.

Where to buy: Amazon

About the Authors: Mariah Huehner has worked primarily with IDW Publishing, and is known for her work in Fables, The Last Unicorn, and True Blood.
Aaron Alexovich is most remembered for being one of the original artists for the Nickelodeon series Invader Zim. He has also created the comic Serenity Rose, published by Slave Labor Graphics.
