Unchained Melody

Title: Unchained Melody (Love Song Standards #1)

Author: Cynthia Roberts

Genre: Romance

Rating: 3 out of 5 fairies

Synopsis: Pamela Landers had it all, a senior partnership with a top law firm, expensive car, and a luxurious condo. What she desired most was a loving husband, children and a life filled with precious memories that would comfort her through her golden years.
Funny how fate has a way of steering you down that path where dreams really can come true. When Pamela encounters Gavin Templeton along her journey, she has some life-altering decisions to make that eventually lead her to happily ever after.

Review:  A quick read, good for when you want a love story, but don't have the time to invest in a more in-depth novel. Unfortunately, that means the characters aren't as in-depth as I would have liked, and the story has a shaky start when the meeting between Pamela and Gavin is too brief without enough pull to support the love or attraction between them later on. Technically well written, but the story could use more development.

Where to buy: Amazon

About the Author: Cynthia's love of reading romance fiction goes back to those early years when she was raising a young family. It wasn't until much later in life she actually took up the pen to write her first historical romance, Wind Warrior. She really doesn't fit into one specific niche. Once a story starts to flow, it's only then that she knows what genre/sub-genre it will fit under. She has only one regret and that is not getting to this point in her career much sooner, rather than later. Life has a way of setting up roadblocks, which for her, was supposed to work out that way. Because of those detours, she has become a more passionate and expressive writer, allowing me to create the kind of raw human emotion she wants her readership to feel. It is her hope you walk away with not just an entertaining read, but the importance of knowing, "Without imagination & dreams, we lose the excitement of wonderful possibilities."
