Before settling in to read this, I suggest getting as comfy as possible, grabbing your favorite drink, and a big box of tissues. These stories are raw, beautiful, emotional, and pull no punches. Of course, I read the warning in the blurb – that the stories wouldn’t be pretty and would likely break my heart, but I didn’t actually expect it to happen. I cried, I smiled, I laughed, and my heart broke more times than I thought it could. This was an absolutely amazing, emotional experience. I’m sitting here, typing this, still reeling from the emotional roller coaster that comes with how immersed you become once you start reading these stories. A wonderful read that I will be adding to my read again list.
