Do you like tension and steam in your romance? This will have you on the edge of your seat and reaching for a cool drink while you fly through its pages. I loved book one, and sometimes book two in a series isn’t as good, but this blew me out of the water. Great characters, witty banter, and hot scenes that might just make your Kindle give off a little smoke! The perfect hot, steamy mafia romance to light your inner fire.

Lily: Thank you so much for agreeing to this interview Lexy I enjoyed reading Redemption. What inspired you to write this?
Lexy: I’ve always been a reader, and I really wanted to write a novel that had all the parts of a mafia romance that I loved, and none of the things I didn’t. Redemption was the story I’ve always had in the back of my mind and always wanted to tell.
Lily: It was a wonderful book. What was the hardest part of writing this?
Lexy: Keeping myself motivated. Once the writing was done, there was a mountain of editing and promoting that I never realized would take up so much of my time.
Lily: I can totally understand how that could easily become overwhelming. Did you have to do any research?
Lexy: Yes, mostly from maps of the city of Boston and local businesses in that area. I tried really hard to get my “timing” right, so that native Bostonians could recognize the scenes around them.
Lily: That’s awesome! Now we’d like to talk about you as a writer. What’s your favorite place to write?
Lexy: I have my computer set up in my living room so I can get my writing done while my son watches his morning cartoons.
Lily: Writing with cartoons in the background sounds like a fun setup to me. Are you a plotter or a pantser, or somewhere in between?
Lexy: Somewhere in between. I make a rough outline of five to ten plot points I know I need to hit, and then I let the characters lead me where they will.
Lily: That’s a great way to go. Is writing the first draft or editing it harder?
Lexy: Writing the first draft is the hardest. I can picture a scene so clearly in my head, but I have to find just the right words to describe it to take the reader with me.
Lily: I totally understand the struggle to find the right words. Let’s finish up with some fun questions and get inside your mind. What’s your favorite genre to read?
Lexy: I’m a mood reader, so I change that answer daily. My favorite is darker romance, but I jump around from mafia, to contemporary, to paranormal, and sci-fi.
Lily: I definitely read a variety too. Do you have a favorite band or musical artist? What’s one of your favorite songs by them?
Lexy: My favorite artist is Mat Kearney. I’ve loved his stuff since my high school days. Music is a big part of my creative process, which is why I include a playlist in the front of every book I write.
Lily: I love playlists that go with books! Would you rather have to dress in one color every day or in a rainbow every day?
Lexy: One color. If it’s blue, I want it. And if it has pockets? I’ll take two.
Lily: Hehe I’m definitely in if it has pockets. What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream? Least favorite?
Lexy: Phish food is my absolute favorite. I really haven’t met an ice cream I didn’t like.
Lily: Phish food is a good one. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do/try but haven’t yet?
Lexy: There are some hiking trails I’d love to try with my kids when they get older. We spend a lot of the summer camping, getting outdoors and enjoying each others’ company.
Lily: That sounds like so much fun! How can readers discover more about you, and your work?

I am a mom, author, and makeup artist from West Tennessee. I love creating and finding ways to expand my mind. I’ve written 2 books so far, with plans for many more over the next year.
