This is an interesting and chilling book, full of twists and turns. It starts with a powerful, dark scene, and we get to follow along as Royce (seemingly) loses his sanity. The deeper you go, the more is unveiled, and I love how it’s done slowly, and not all at once. That tension keeps you hooked from the outset. If you enjoy Stephen King’s brand of horror, then you’ll definitely enjoy this. It’s the perfect blend of psychological horror and sci-fi. Getting to know Royce was great, watching him evolve over the course of the story, and realizing his “nightmare” was more than just that. The story itself has good pacing, and is an easy read. Definitely recommend!
