With the quest to vanquish the Goblin King and break Gamaken’s curse, the duo faces tribulations that force Henry to confront his deepest feelings. Author’s note: This is a stand-alone spin-off from the book series Reincarnated as the Frog Prince. You do not need to read Reincarnated as the Frog Prince Book 1 and 2 in order to understand the events, which occur in this book. A few events, which occurred in books 1 and 2, are referenced, but enough information is provided in Henry’s Secret that reading those books is unnecessary.

Trigger Warnings: Beware, this book is darker than my usual books and recommended for readers 18+. There will be M/M sex, including fantastical sexual situations, and homophobic language (the denizens of the Fairy Kingdom are homophobic and insult Henry, using words some people may not be comfortable with).

A dark, twisty, steamy fairy tale. The images included are beautiful, and really add to the story. The story is quite descriptive at times – and definitely gets steamy at times. Having read Reincarnated as the Frog Prince, (although you don’t need to), I really enjoyed seeing the story from Henry’s perspective. Henry faced so much discrimination for being who he is, and he didn’t let it break his spirit. The story is well-written, and moves along smoothly at a good pace. If you enjoy fairy tale retellings with a twist, and don’t mind some dark moments, you’re going to enjoy this. I can’t wait to read part two!
