He leans forward and says in a quiet voice: “What color are your panties?”
“What?!” My mouth drops.
“What color are they?”
His voice has that recognizable, hushed tone as always when he’s excited. He wants to play. Here? While people are having dinner around us, he wants to talk about my panties?
I look to the left and then to the right, and realize that nobody is paying attention to us. I think for a moment, shrug, and decide to accept the challenge. Okay. Let’s play.
I swallow hard. “Black.”
“Hmmm.” He gazes somewhere behind my back and rubs his beard with his thumb and forefinger. “Cotton, lace, satin? Or maybe silk?”
I’m feeling hot. “Lace.”
“Slip?”
I tsk.
“Brazilians?”
I tsk.
Kosta’s pupils fix on mine. “Thong?”
I smile cunningly, arch an eyebrow, lift the glass and watch him over the edge as I take a sip, then slowly return the glass on the table. “Yup.”
“Describe them.”
I’m bewildered. “You want me to describe my panties?”
“Yup.”
He really is a freak.
And I’m an even bigger one because I like his games immensely.
