The wheel of time continues to turn and now we turn into balance. Beltane marks the halfway point between Spring and Summer. Beltane is also known as May Day. It was a day when pasture would be fertile and livestock would be turned out to fields. Beltane is a fire festival to rival in the fertility of the land.

The beat of the drum is now a loud pounding sound ringing out with a bright light and calling everyone to dance in the fertile lands and embrace the warm weather that will continue to bless us.

Beltane is one of the four fire festivals celebrated by Celtic Pagans and is associated with fertility. This is when the land is most fertile and bursting with life. Its when a May Bride is chosen, when the Green Man falls in love. One common way Beltane is celebrated is with a bonfire or the decorating of the May Pole.
