Our guest today is Robin Murarka, the author behind Rone Isa

Lily:  Thank you so much for agreeing to this interview Robin I thought Rone Isa was an intriguing book. What inspired you to write this?

Robin:  I can’t recall exactly, but generally I get a conceptual idea, and as it grows, I realize that I can and want to invest a great deal of energy into fleshing out the story.

Lily:  It was definitely an interesting read. You did an eerily good job of bringing Enoya to life, did you have to do a lot of research before writing this?

Robin:  Not so much – more letting the imagination roam to explore new and different ways of examining a well-known concept in fresh, new manners.

Lily:  You did a great job with it. How did you choose the names Enoya and Dargaud? Do they have any special meaning behind them?

Robin:  The names just came to me for the most part.

Lily:  That’s a good way to pick them hehe. What would you do if you had a day with Enoya?

Robin:  That’s an interesting question – probably let her digest as much free flowing information as possible and tell me things no one else knows about the universe.

Lily:  I think it’d be an interesting day for sure. Now we’d like to talk about you as a writer. What’s your favorite place to write?

Robin:  On my computer, in my chair.

Lily:  You must have a comfy chair, I know that’s a must for me. Is it easier to write or edit your first draft?

Robin: Editing is always a process, but writing is where a lot of my time goes, as I take every new sentence and chapter really seriously.

Lily:  Personally, I always dread editing, but it sounds like you put a lot of work into your first draft, making editing easier. How do you keep track of inspiration when it strikes?

Robin: I generally don’t need to, and it stays with me if it matters enough.

Lily:  That’s awesome! Let’s finish up with some fun questions and get inside your mind. What’s your favorite hot drink? Cold drink?

Robin:  Hot drink would be a mocha – cold drink would be a mango milkshake.

Lily:  A mango milkshake sounds amazing, and I love a good mocha. Do you have a go-to snack?

Robin:  Potato chips.

Lily:  They’re the perfect salty treat. Would you rather be covered in fur, scales, or spines? What color would you want them to be?

Robin:  Fur – gray

Lily:  That would look great in the sunlight, I bet. What’s one mythical creature that you wish was real?

Robin:  God

Lily:  I think you’re the first person to answer with that. What’s book could you re-read over and over without it ever getting old?

Robin:  And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

Lily:  Agatha Christie was one of my early favorites. Do you have any hobbies?

Robin:  Cooking

Lily:  Cooking is such a fun hobby. Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven’t included?

Robin:  I appreciate your interview and review, Lily.

Lily:  I’m glad you could stop by! How can readers discover more about you and you work?

Robin:  Reading the novel, and really questioning what doesn’t seem to make sense. Dig deep to find the meaning behind things.
