First, let me say you’ll definitely want to read book one to get a complete picture. I was excited to dive back into Engine’s game and see where Shadow landed next. There is a bit of violence and some traumatic events, so keep that in mind before diving into this series. That said, I wouldn’t say any of it was gratuitous, and it all helps develop the characters and plot. I have to admit, I’m a horror fan, and Parque did an excellent job of getting my heart racing and sending chills down my spine. A great next installment in this thrilling and wonderfully horrifying series.
Paityn Parque lives in Puyallup, Washington, where she spends most of her time gaming and writing.
