In this thrilling conclusion to the Touch the Sky series, Jennifer once again experiences visions of the past. This time, she sees life through the eyes of the young girl Alyona, captured by the Mongolian soldiers of Genghis Khan in 1224 AD. Alyona’s journey is one of pain, heartbreak, and courage, as she rises above the brutal world of the Mongolians.
As Jennifer is drawn deeper into Alyona’s life, she can’t escape a feeling of foreboding. Each time she returns to the present and Derek’s loving arms, something is different—she is different.
In this final vision, Jennifer discovers the true Power of the Sky and the ultimate sacrifice required.

Warning: once you start reading this, you won’t want to stop! I loved the dual timelines – seeing the life of a Bronze Age priestess mixed with modern times. The characters were really well-developed, and I loved the way Jennifer and Derek were together. The imagery Blasdell uses is vivid, and it’s easy to feel yourself transported between the two worlds. I cannot wait to see what lies in store with book two!
Book Two – Daughter of the Sky

After meeting Jennifer in book one, I was eager to read more of her story. This time, her visions come from the 16th century, but it’s no less intriguing. Derek is by her side, and there’s danger around the corner. It was so easy to fall back into Jennifer’s world, and I loved exploring the medieval world through Lady Gwenivere’s eyes. Blasdell did an excellent job of bringing the past to life, and the whole book is like watching a movie unfold around you. Highly recommend reading book one first if you haven’t, and I’m excitedly looking forward to book three!
Book Three – Power of the Sky

Can you believe we’re at book three already? What a way to finish out a series. All questions are answered by the end of the book, so no nagging loose ends to tie up. We get much more insight into Jennifer’s gift, and this time we travel to the 1200s. Derek and Jennifer are absolutely adorable together, and like any couple have their ups and down. If you’re looking for a series that will steal your heart but leave you feeling like you’ve lived multiple lives by the end, you’re going to love this series. I cannot tell you how much I’ve enjoyed it from start to finish.
As a lifelong reader of fiction, Alison enjoys multiple genres: thriller, adventure, historic, romance, mystery, fantasy, & time travel. Because of this, she writes books for readers who also enjoy variety in their reading. She blends genres to produce multi-faceted stories, and always at the heart of the story is a strong and compassionate woman’s quest for empowerment.
As an equestrian with a background in music, martial arts, marksmanship, and a passion for history, Alison often weaves these areas of interest into her novels. She has placed her characters in Bronze Age Britain, Medieval England and Scotland, Genghis Khan’s Mongolian Empire, and the US Civil War. However, not wanting to always live in the past, she is also the author of two contemporary spy thriller novels in which her characters face overwhelming adversity and emerge victoriously.
Alison attained a Ph.D. in human physiology and biophysics from the University of Illinois and was the recipient of several research fellowships from the National Institutes for Health (NIH). As a professor of physiology, pathophysiology, and nursing, she taught medical, nursing, and science students for 30 years before retiring. She lives with her husband, two dogs, and three horses in the Midwest on a farm that has been in her family for 175 years.
