So, Drake and his family follow all the new societal rules to a tee—wear gloves, long sleeves, and pants at all times, and never touch an extra-terrestrial. But then something happens with Drake’s dad. Something incredibly strange, unexpected, and horrifying in its own right. And something that makes Drake start to suspect he, his family, and the rest of humanity have a lot more on their plates concerning the alien invasion than they ever could’ve imagined…

This was a great, creepy story that shines a light on some real life horrors along with those of the aliens. I don’t want to give too much away, but there was some great building of tension, and an explosive opening to the story. There was a bit of mystery woven in – what do the aliens want? How long are they staying? Then another layer is added – what’s going on with Drake’s parents, why are they acting so strange recently? I didn’t stop reading once I started, and blew through this in a few hours. A great, chilling story with an important underlying message for readers young and old.
