I don’t even know where to start with this one, I loved it so much! First, let’s talk about Bailey. She’s strong, independent, and has some scars in her past that make it hard for her to trust. Despite that, she can’t help but want to protect those around her. I fell in love with her right at the start. I loved Derrick and his mom, they’ve had rough times in their pasts, but they care so much about the people around them. The chemistry between Derrick and Bailey is absolutely undeniable, and I loved their banter. The level at which I loathe certain characters in this book, (and trust me, you’ll hate them too when you meet them), is astounding. I didn’t know I could hate anyone in a book so much. My only complaint is the way the book ended – I don’t want to wait for book 2!!!
