Garnet and Samuel find themselves at The Crimson Moon Resort as the first step of their new journey, but some criminals will never truly go away, and when one of the worst shows up at the resort, Garnet has to overcome every doubt she ever had and become the bad-ass she was always meant to be. But can she answer the call to protect and serve others and share her heart with a man who gave up his life for her?

Magic, suspense, romance, and a lot of steam? Yes please! I couldn’t put this down once I dived in. Wilson really knows how to unfold a story, hooking you from the first page. I loved the variety of characters and magical beings that populated this book, and the tension and unacknowledged love between Samuel and Garnet. The plot was a good mix of romance and suspense, with enough of each to keep it moving forward smoothly. If you like steamy suspense stories, you’re going to love this one!
