This is a quick, engaging read that will captivate you from the start. If you’ve read the Angelbound series, then you’re already somewhat familiar with Lincoln – and this is told from his POV. He’s a great character, and if you weren’t in love with him before, there’s no way you won’t be now. (You don’t have to read Angelbound to dive into this, Bauer does a great job of establishing Lincoln as a character, and it won’t be too hard to follow everything). This may be short, but along with the character development there’s excellent world-building, setting us up for the installments to follow – and I can’t wait to see where Lincoln’s story takes us next.
