Nephilim’s Hex
Timelessness #3
written by Susana Imaginário
narrated by Sarah Kempton
The Nephilim loom over Niflheim.
Gods, Dharkan and mortals fight amongst themselves in their shadow.
And Time is on no one’s side.
The gods are outmatched, their talents useless against the Nephilim’s technology. Desperate, they turn on each other. New alliances form and fall apart, for there can be no peace when survival is at stake.
Psyche, torn between a goddess’s duty and a mortal’s hate, sets off on her own to learn the truth behind her fate, unaware of the danger following her.
Meanwhile, Chronos’ own agenda involves a power so dangerous and unpredictable it’s been long forsaken by both the gods and the Nephilim.
Will it be worth the risk?

Overall: I’m hooked on this series, I love the characters, the world, and the story.
Performance: I thought Kempton did a great job of distinguishing between the characters, and really bringing the emotions through the unique voices she gave them. It was easy to get lost in the story, and I could almost see it unfolding in front of me.
Story: Wow, can you believe we’re already three books in on this series? I can’t! Each book, I get drawn in further, and I’m always sad to leave the amazing world Imaginário has created behind. Our favorite (and not so favorite) gods are back, and there’s a new threat to face. The Nephilim were absolutely chilling, and watching the gods and mortals go up against them had me on the edge of my seat. As always, the story moved along smoothly and quickly, and before you know it, hours have passed, and you still want to read (or hear) more. I don’t want to give away too much, but suffice it to say, if you’ve enjoyed the first two books, this third installment will blow you away!

Susana Imaginário lives in Ireland with her husband and their extremely spoiled dog.
Her hobbies include reading, playing board games, hanging upside down, poking around ancient ruins, talking to trees and being tired.
Her work combines mythology with fantasy and psychology in a strange way.
