Another heart-racing paranormal detective noir thriller, Hush Hush City will make it hard to stop reading once you start. I was so excited to dive back into Reilly’s world, and Denning kept up the momentum from book one. Reilly has a lot on her plate, and you can tell the stress is getting to her a little, but she’s still the same smart, strong, and determined woman we met in book one (even if things have gotten a little more complicated for her). There’s definitely hints of a love triangle, and the slow burn is just killing me! (Seriously, this book does just enough to keep you wanting more in the romance department). So when do we get book three?

Jo Denning is the author of the Saoirse Reilly series. She has spent her career as a clinical social worker supporting neurodivergent people of all ages. Jo began writing as a way of processing the traumatic things she has seen and heard. Her characters may be supernatural but their stories, their fear, and their pain are real. So, too, are their triumphs over impossible odds. When she’s not writing, Jo enjoys baking, drawing, and watching trashy reality TV.
