As Whit struggles to come to terms with her grief and anger, she finds herself facing a difficult choice. Will she be able to let go of her anger and heal, or will her quest for revenge cost her the one thing she never knew she wanted: love?

This has the vibe of teenage TV drama meets Revenge, and I enjoyed reading it, getting to know Whit, and watching her change and grow. My biggest complaint is at times the story moved really slow – it helped showcase the characters, (especially Whit and her transformation), but I didn’t feel the need to keep reading late into the night like I was expecting for a book so focused on revenge (even with some romance mixed in). This felt more like a slice-of-life or women’s fiction than anything. (Not a bad thing, just not what I was expecting). I’d love to say I was surprised by the reaction of all those around Whit who knew about the assault, but I’m not. Davis didn’t sugarcoat it at all, which I appreciated. Overall, a good story, with an excellent MC story arc.
