What you’ll find inside: a strong FMC, a mysterious MMC, a slow burn romance, a post-apocalyptic world, plenty of action and twists, and one crazy cliffhanger. Although the romance is a slow burn, the rest of this book has fairly quick pacing. Eva does her best to protect her community, doing her best to never let her guard down, or let her heart make choices. Then Krieger comes along, memories lost, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. I felt like I was standing right there, watching everything unfold. Being able to get the story from both their POVs gave the story more depth, and I enjoyed the insights into the characters it brought too. The twists you’ll never see coming, but the real killer is that cliffhanger. I cannot wait for book two!
