When Ashley accidentally sets the lighthouse on fire, she runs into Christopher’s arms. He hopes her return means a relationship resolution and a chance to show how much work is involved in managing the property, hoping she will gladly hand over the reins. However, Ashley isn’t giving up, and Christopher doesn’t want her to leave. Convinced the Inn’s lighthouse is haunted, she starts an investigation. Together, they uncover one mystery after another. Will they discover the secret to a happy future and a second chance at love?

A beautiful resort, a dusty lighthouse, ghosts, and second chances are what you’ll find as you follow Ashley and Christopher on their journey in this captivating story. The opening drops you right into the story, and the juxtaposition between everything is striking. Although the lighthouse is right by the resort, it’s circumstances, and Ashley’s, are much different than the state of the resort, and her estranged husband Christopher. I really enjoyed getting to know both of them over the course of the book, they had a lot of depth, and felt like real people. The story itself is engaging, the interpersonal relationships, the mystery, all of it. Everything moves along at a slow pace, and it’s so easy to lose yourself in the book, hours will pass by while you’re reading before you know it. Cannot recommend enough for anyone who enjoys sweet, cozy romances with a hint of mystery!
