Rating & Review

5 out of 5

Creepy, slasher movie vibes, and all the off-grid fun you could want are waiting in this addicting horror novel. Corr does an excellent job bringing both characters and setting to life, and it felt like I was walking right into a retro horror movie. Right down to the creepy, lonely, old-fashioned gas station the book opens with. Eerie locals, isolated setting, no cell phones, and a killer on the loose – it’s a horror lover’s dream. It’s hot outside, but this book had chills running down my spine. I can’t say I liked Ander much at first, but the more you get to know him away from his phone, the more likable he becomes. (Maybe I’m too old to understand the allure of being a popular influencer). I won’t give any spoilers, but I can promise you’ll be on the edge of your seat right to the very end.
