This starts off as a pretty standard middle grade Beauty and the Beast retelling, then the third act twist hits and things get a little dark (sorry, no spoilers)! I loved the intrepid group of four who set off to try and save Rose, one of the kindest girls in their village, with or without the help of the locals. Their bravery and the way they work together in the face of overwhelming odds was heartwarming. I enjoyed the unique twists put on the story, but I wasn’t expecting that third act twist that just hits you hard. That said, I won’t spoil anything, I just can’t express how out of left field it felt at first, but how well it worked within the story as a whole. I also have to admit I’m hoping to get more adventures with these four heroes, however, as the epilogue sets up possible further stories, new twists on old fairy tales.

Alessandro loves to cook, write, work on cars and hang out with his family, his amazing veteran girlfriend and their 2 boys. While working in the entertainment industry for over eight years and being heavily involved and acting in live theater has expanded his imagination. He uses parts of everything that he has lived to build the world he creates.
