Talk about steamy – and the heat isn’t coming from hellfire. The story itself is interesting, and does progress in between the sexy scenes. It’s not just gratuitous fun, however – Mari’s magic is heavily tied to it, and the story wouldn’t have unfolded quite the same if she wasn’t able to be at her full potential. Watching Mari grow and change once out from under her father’s thumb was wonderful, it was really empowering to see how she started to really grow into her own after being abused for so long. The characters all have a nice amount of death, and the relationships between them truly are the stars of the story. If you’re looking for an extremely steamy, monster-filled romance, then you absolutely need to grab this!
