If you like good revenge, strong and independent FMCs, mafia stories, and unforgettable storylines, you absolutely have to read this next! Erin isn’t your typical girl, and while she’s had a hard life, she’s strong. Her family is tied to the mob, but it’s not all sunshine and roses for her, despite the protection being in a family like that should afford. The abuse at home since she was young hardens her, and makes her seek out creative ways to survive. My heart absolutely broke for the abuse she had to endure, but I loved her determination and ingenuity. This story is very driven by her, and while we do get to see other’s POVs, she’s easily the star. There were a few surprising twists I wasn’t expecting that kept things interesting. The descriptions are quite vivid, and it feels like watching a movie unfold before your eyes. Everything moves along at a pretty good clip, and before you know it you’re halfway through and wondering how many hours have passed. Definitely recommend!
