A fantasy adventure that will take you on the adventure of a lifetime, this is one story you don’t want to miss. The story drops you right into Maeve’s life, and her path to acquiring the journal of Tara Prima. Although we learn quite a bit about Maeve and her world in the first chapter, Norton unfolds the information in such a way that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The story has excellent pacing, and keeps a smooth pace from start to finish. The characters are well-developed, and it’s clear a lot of work went into the world-building as well. Overall, if you enjoy epic fantasy adventures with unforgettable characters, then you need to grab this for your next read!

I have been interested in writing fiction, especially fantasy short stories, since high school. I discovered the rich history of the pre-Christian Celts many years ago and have since spent much time researching their culture, along with that of the Norse of the same time periods. This led to the idea for Tara’s Journey, and setting it in a fictional world were magic was real brought a whole new dimension to my writing.
I am a long-time fantasy fiction fan, and especially have been influenced by such authors as J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey and Morgan Llewelyn. I am sure you will be able to detect some of their influences in my writing.
This story has been long in the writing, with several iterations until this final product, Once and Future. I continue the adventures of Tara, and others, in my series, Tales of Eirlandia.
