This story was an emotional roller coaster of loss, revenge, and romance. I was immediately drawn in when we first meet Vance, the contrast of perfection not just his looks but his life, and the horrors of reality for those who don’t fit that perfect image. His need for revenge and the realization his accident brings to him make him such an interesting character. The story itself has good pacing, and while the technology involved gave me chills, it’s something I could absolutely see in humanity’s future. With the rise of AI and an increasing number of people struggling to truly connect, it’s all too easy to imagine people turning from simple AI relationship chatbots to something more immersive. If you enjoy sci-fi and romance, that has a dark tint to it, then you need to read this!

As lover of books and the literary arts he has published three Techo thrillers thus far. Having been a fan of the original Twilight Zone and classic science fiction novels, he decided to let his imagination run wild with his writing.
