Ronaldo: Rudi’s Birthday Extravaganza
by Maxine Sylvester

He wants his friend to have the best birthday party ever, but when the superstar Magician cancels, disaster is on the cards!

Ronaldo loves magic and when his best friend announces Monty the Moose, the most spectacular magician in the world, is performing at his birthday party, he is beside himself with excitement.

First, he must save his pocket-money for the perfect present and deliver cakes for the local baker. Only tragedy strikes when bullies ambush Ronaldo in the woods and they leave him with a splattered cake and no savings. And to make matters worse, his pal’s favourite magician cancels his appearance!

But Ronaldo’s recent acts of kindness towards a stranger spark a series of unexpected events. And he discovers true magic doesn’t come in the form of a celebrity trickster… it comes from the heart.

Ronaldo: Rudi’s Birthday Extravaganza is a hilarious chapter book for children with life lessons on friendship, honesty and integrity. If you enjoy flying, carrot cake and comical illustrations, then you’ll love Ronaldo’s magical summer adventure.

5 out of 5 fairies

This was another brilliant Ronaldo book. A birthday party is a special thing, and Ronaldo wants to make this one extra special for his friend Rudi. Between Rudi’s injured hoof and some unexpected events, what was going to be a magical birthday party is beginning to look kind of sad and dreary. That doesn’t stop Ronaldo from doing the best he can with what he has, and finding creative ways to cheer up Rudi. Like the other books in the series, there are some wonderful life lessons woven into the pages, along with beautiful pictures that kids and adults alike will enjoy. Don’t let this one fly by!
