Just a quick note – having read the other books in both Tales of Liamec and The Channeler Trilogy, I have to recommend reading them first as well, just to gain a better understanding of this well-developed, magical world. Although Lamperti does an amazing job of easing readers into it, there’s just so much that can’t be easily condensed. Now – onto the review. I have to applaud the extensive imagery used, it’s more like watching a movie unfold than reading a book. This was a new twist on vampires, and a great story to escape into for a day or two (it was hard to set down). Raphael and Sunny were great characters, and worked well together. Although there were tense moments, there was some comedic relief, too. I had a lot of fun reading this, and I hope there are more adventures in Liamec in the future!
