Becoming the Prince is the second prequel to the Mafiosa Princess Series. While this book can be read as a standalone, I’d recommend reading it after Mafiosa Princess Beginnings. The prequels can be enjoyed before, after, or at any point during the main series.

OK, after reading this, I am officially team Luca, all the way. I loved the first prequel, and this second one, which focuses more heavily on Luca, didn’t disappoint. Malloy does an amazing job bringing these characters to life before your eyes. The story has great pacing, and it felt like I was watching a movie. I was so caught up in the book, that I completely lost track of time. While you can read these at anytime during the series, and I know that it’s a prequel, I think reading this one after finishing the series was the right time for me. Which is funny, given I liked Giada more, and would have preferred to read her prequel before starting the series. I was torn over Luca during the series, and I came around to ultimately liking him by the end of the series, but I wouldn’t want to go in rooting for him all the way. No matter when you decide to read it, this is a series you really don’t want to miss out on if you enjoy mafia romances!
